Stefan Hell

I am an indie developer, living in Munich, Germany. Focussing mostly on programming, but also a designer at times out of necessity.

The biggest project I have worked on so far has been the award-winning game Ellipsis at Salmi Games.

Salmi Games - Ellipsis

Ellipsis is a minimalist action-surival puzzler, released for iOS, Android and Apple TV by Salmi Games.

"From the fantastic, vibrant visuals to the futuristic, space-themed sounds, you cannot help but enjoy this game." - AppAdvice

"What seems utilitarian on the cover is deep down made with great care, and it shows as you play it." - TouchArcade

Salmi Games - Late For Work

Rampage in VR. Against your friends.

Late For Work is a local multiplayer VR game set in a fully destructible town. It pits one giant gorilla (in VR) against up to 4 puny human friends in the ultimate couch party game.

I was responsible for the first prototype shown at GDC 2017. Working part-time on it throughout 2017.

Salmi Games - Late For Work Multiplayer

Fight against other VR gorillas in a fully desctructible town.

I created a prototype of an online multiplayer for Late For Work to evaluate how to handle multiple physics objects in a fast-paced multiplayer action game.

Read more about the development.

Innoactive - Zeiss VR One

The VR Cinema was an official launch app for the virtual reality headset Zeiss VR One. Load 2d or 3d movies onto your phone and watch them in a virtual cinema. Best seat guaranteed!

I developed this app as a freelancer for Innoactive.

Battle Balls

Battle balls is the prototype of a local multiplayer game for up to 4 players. Created for PlayStation and PC in Unity.

This is a sample project I created to demonstrate my programming skills. If you are interested in my programming style please contact me at stefan.hell@salmi.de to get the full source code.
